Any Qualified Provider

What is Any Qualified Provider?

If you have a hearing problem and a condition meeting certain criteria then you may be referred by your GP under the new Any Qualified Provider (AQP) service. AQP is a scheme rollout out across England by the Department of Health. AQP allows patients to choose where appropriate, from a range of qualified providers who are licensed to provide safe care and treatment, and select the one that best meets their needs. The key aims are to increase patients’ choice of provider, to focus on quality of treatment and to reduce the waiting time for treatment.
