Caterham Dene Ward: Important information about visiting

Published on Tuesday 24 March 2020

As you know we have all been instructed by the UK government to stay at home to reduce the spread of Coronavirus. In order to protect our patients, staff and the public we have temporarily suspended visitors to Caterham Dene Ward with the exception of visiting someone at the end of their life.  A maximum of two visitors at any time will be allowed if visiting someone at the end of their life. Visitors must not have any current symptoms of COVID-19 i.e a new cough or raised temperature and will be required to wear full personal protective equipment (PPE). Please discuss this with the staff in charge of your loved ones before visiting.

We fully understand the upset these restrictions may cause and this decision has been made to support the wider public health of all citizens to reduce the spread of this virus. We are doing everything we can to look at alternative ways for you to communicate with us and your loved ones and will be able to communicate these with you in due course.  If you would like to send a message to your loved ones please email it to fchc.genericwardclerk@nhs.net and we will deliver the message to them.  Please include the patients name and ward.

Please continue to check our website for further updates.
