Physiotherapy

What does the service provide?

First Community provides a range of physiotherapy services. These are based in the local community, such as in your own home, in a community hospital, nursing home bed or in a clinic setting. Our team of specialist phsiotherapists provide expert treatment and guidance to rehabilitate and re-educate people with a wide range of musculoskeletal disorders.

What is the aim?

Restoration of the patient's function, activity and independance as well as to prevent further injury/illness. Patients are expected to undertake an appropriate programme of home exercises, which forms and integral part of the rehabilitation process.

We assess, diagnose and treat patients, from the age of 16 onwards, with conditions including:

  • Neck pain
  • Whiplash
  • Low back pain
  • Post-operative conditions
  • Chronic pain
  • Rheumatological conditions
  • Occupational health injuries

The treatments covered by our service include:
