The First Community Network enables members of the public to have an input into the way community health services are developed and gives people a choice of how they would like to be involved.

To achieve its aim of delivering community-based healthcare that suits the needs of its patients, First Community wants to listen to the voices, views, and opinions of those in the community it serves.

The First Community Network are recruiting members of the public to join and get involved; where they will have the opportunity to take part in surveys, join focus groups and tell their story to help transform and improve local community healthcare services.

First Community hold a database of First Community Network members with their preferred method of involvement. The Network helps shape the future of community health services in east Surrey and parts of West Sussex and influences the organisations approach to developing new ways of delivering healthcare.

Since its launch in 2021, volunteers have been involved in reviewing a number of policies, guidelines and patient leaflets and participated in a project on reducing the risk of falls.

First Community has lots of other exciting initiatives coming up. If you’re interested in joining the First Community Network, please contact us and let us know your preferred method of involvement or any specific interests you may have.
