Today the First Community Network launches, giving members of the public the opportunity to have an input into the way community health services are provided and developed in east Surrey and parts of West Sussex.

To achieve its aim of delivering first-rate community healthcare, First Community wants to listen to the voices, views, and opinions of those in the community it serves and give people a choice of how they would like to be involved.

The First Community Network are recruiting members of the public to join and get involved; where they will have the opportunity to take part in surveys, join focus groups, and tell their story to help transform and improve local community healthcare services.

First Community has lots of exciting initiatives coming up, including improvements to respiratory services across east Surrey and are seeking volunteers to be involved with delivering these new ways of working.

Su Ryan, Associate Director of Scheduled Care is delighted to launch the First Community network and said: “Our new First Community Network will be an exciting way for us to gather insight, views and experiences from communities across east Surrey and parts of West Sussex.

“It’s great that it gives people a choice of how they would like to be involved and as well as helping to shape our services, we hope it will enable us to reach and hear the voices of a wide range of people including those who don’t currently use our services.”

Anyone interested in joining the First Community Network can get in touch using the contact details below, stating their preferred method of involvement and any specific interests they may have.

The new network will help shape the future of community health services and influence the organisation’s approach to developing new ways of delivering healthcare.
