Success at Apprenticeship and Support Workforce Heroes Awards

Published on Friday 15 March 2019

On Thursday 14 March 2019 Carol Gallo, First Community Heart Failure Team Administrator was awarded runner up in the category of Support Workforce Heroes - Working above & beyond the call of duty at Health Education England Kent Surrey and Sussex Apprenticeship and Support Workforce Awards.

The Health Education England Kent Surrey and Sussex Apprenticeship and Support Workforce Awards celebrates the contributions of NHS support workers who, often work behind the scenes, but play a vital role in ensuring patients receive high quality care.

Carol was nominated by her manager Wendy Ruane, Heart Failure Nurse Specialist, who said: ‘Carol always goes over and above to help with the general running of the service. Although she is based with the Heart Failure Team she is always the first person to help other teams when they need it. Patients and staff regularly comment on her kind and empathetic demeanour.  She is so hard working and we’re so pleased that this has been recognised by HEE KSS’.
