Surrey (except Waverley) moves into Tier 4, stay at home alert

Published on Monday 21 December 2020

Starting from 20 December, the majority of Surrey was placed into Tier 4, stay at home Covid-19 alert level (Waverley is to remain in tier 2).

If you live in a Tier 4 area, this means that you cannot leave or be outside of the place you are living unless you have a reasonable excuse. You cannot meet other people indoors, including over the Christmas period, unless you live with them, or they are part of your support bubble. Outdoors, you can only meet one person from another household. These rules will not be relaxed for Christmas for Tier 4 and you will not be able to form a Christmas Bubble in Tier 4

A summary of what this means can be seen on this graphic. Find out more about what you can and cannot do in areas with a very rapidly rising level of infections here.
