Patients referred to our service must:

  • Be 18 or over
  • Be registered with an East Surrey GP
  • Have concerns about communication and/or swallowing
  • Be medically stable
  • Agree to the service, or have a carer who can agree.

Referrals can be received from GPs, other speech and language therapists and other health and social care professionals.

To make a referral please complete an Adult SLT referral form and send it back to us at East Surrey Hospital. 

We are not currently commissioned to see patients with dysphonia (voice disorders), with head and neck cancer or a primary mental health diagnosis. Voice patients should be referred by an ENT (Ear, Nose and Throat) consultant to Sussex and Surrey Health SLTs. Address: SASH SLT Dept, ESH, Canada Avenue, Redhill, Surrey RH1 5RH
