First Community celebrates apprenticeship success

National Apprenticeship Week
Published on Tuesday 6 February 2024

Today, as part of National Apprenticeship Week, First Community hosted a celebration event to recognise members of staff who have successfully completed their apprenticeship qualifications this year.

Four colleagues successfully completed their apprenticeship programmes which included a Pharmacy services level 2 apprenticeship, Digital & IT technology solutions degree apprenticeship, Registered nurse degree apprenticeship and a postgraduate degree apprenticeship to become a Registered Dietitian.

Colleagues were congratulated by Sarah Tomkins, Chief Executive Officer who presented them with a certificate of achievement.

Dawn Huish, Apprenticeship and Widening Participation Lead attended the celebration event and said, “I’m so proud of our apprentices for their hard work and dedication this year. It’s been so rewarding to be able to support them through their studies and see them develop and achieve their end goals and qualifications.

Here at First Community were committed to supporting apprenticeships and recognise the value of combining studying with practical, work-based learning.”

First Community has a wide range of paid apprenticeships across a variety of roles and departments as part of the organisation’s dedication to providing career development opportunities to its staff, currently First Community only recruits internally to its apprenticeship programme.

The best way to access an apprenticeship is by securing a role with First Community. Please visit the website here for more information www.firstcommunityhealthcare.co.uk/work-us/vacancies
