What makes First Community different?
Clinically-led – Created in 2011, First Community was set up by an innovative group of clinicians who saw that by putting patients at the centre and letting clinicians lead from the front. This means patient care is a priority – 89% colleagues said care of patients is First Community’s top priority (compared to 74% of NHS organisations). To see what patients say about us click here.
Employee-owned community interest company – this means colleagues have a stake in First Community and we only exist for the benefit of the local community. Any money we make, is reinvested in services or the community.
Career development for all – we invest in every employee meaning you can have a fulfilling career at First Community and you can gain the skills and experience you want.
It’s a great place to work – Compared to 55% of staff in NHS organisations nationally, 73% of colleagues say they would recommend First Community as a place to work. And our staff engagement puts us in the top performing NHS organisations in the country.
