ISO 45001 is an international standard for health and safety at work developed by national and international standards committees independent of government.

First Community was first audited in 2018 and has since successfully passed the ISO 45001 accreditation annually.

An audit for the year April 2023 to March 2024 took place in March which included Orchard House, Caterham Dene Hospital, Wayside GP and Oxted Health Centre, in all over 100 pieces of evidence was supplied over the three-day assessment as proof of the policies, procedures, training records and various other pieces of evidence required to complete the audits.

Jim Rust, Head of Fire, Health & Safety said  “For the second year running I am delighted to say that not only have we successfully achieved the accreditation but have done so without any actions being required.  Thank you to all involved for your support with this essential element of delivering first rate care.”
