First Community has published its 2026 Green Plan, setting out a clear and ambitious strategy to deliver sustainable healthcare and reach net zero carbon by 2040.

It's now been one year since First Community launched its new website, and we're taking the opportunity to review how well it's meeting the needs of the people who use it most.

First Community's Heart Failure and Frailty Virtual Ward services (part of the Surrey Heartlands and Doccla UK partnership) were shortlisted as a finalist for the Best Partnership Delivering Virtual Care category at the HSJ Partnership Awards on 19 March.

NHS Sussex, plans and buys health services on behalf of the local population.

Recently, they invited organisations which provide hearing aids to apply for a new contract to deliver hearing aid services for people experiencing non-complex and age-related hearing loss in Sussex.

First Community decided not to apply for this contract and are therefore no longer providing routine audiology care in West Sussex.

First Community has been recognised once again as one of the top community providers to work for in the country. 

First Community has rolled out a suite of Accurx digital communication tools to enhance patient experience, streamline administration and support more effective clinical pathways across its Outpatient Physiotherapy , Integrated Clinical Assessment and Treatment (ICATS) , and Pelvic Health services .
