Quality Account

First Community is delighted to publish its Quality Account for 2025/26.

The report outlines the quality of the NHS health and care services provided by First Community across east Surrey and West Sussex. The quality of services is measured in a number of ways including looking at patient safety, the effectiveness of treatments patients receive and by evaluating patient feedback about care and experiences.

As well as analysing how we achieved the priorities set last year, the account also sets out First Community's future priorities and areas for improvement.

NHS Surrey and Sussex Integrated Care Board (ICB) commented: "We recognise the significant contribution First Community makes in delivering a broad range of community health services across east Surrey. The organisation continues to demonstrate a strong commitment to quality improvement, patient safety and partnership working, despite ongoing system pressures.

Overall, the ICB considers the Quality Account to provide a clear, comprehensive and balanced reflection of performance over the past year, highlighting both areas of achievement and opportunities for further development. We would like to thank staff across First Community for their continued dedication to delivering safe, effective and compassionate care."

This year's Quality Account has been published in an accessible online format, making it easier for patients, carers and stakeholders to explore the organisation's performance and future ambitions.

First Community remains committed to delivering high-quality, compassionate care, using feedback and data to continually improve services for the communities it serves.
