Who has access to your personal data?

Only staff contracted by First Community who are providing you with a service .

 

Who do we share your personal data with and why?

Your personal data will only be shared with health care professionals who are providing you with care.

We hold our patient information on EMIS which is a secure electronic health care record. Where we hold patient information which isn't on EMIS this also held securely.form icon 

We will share your personal data if the law says we need to for example if there is a court order or to prevent fraud or crime.

We process (the action of putting data into a computer and having the computer use it to produce a desired result) your personal data under the Data Protection Act 2018.

You have the right to ask us to stop processing your personal data. 

 

We do not:

Share your personal data for marketing purposes.

Sell or rent your personal data to third parties.

Share your personal data with anyone apart from legal authorities unless you have given us consent to do so. 

 

 

How long do we keep your data:

We will only keep your personal data for as long as we need it to provide care to you and to meet legal and regulatory requirements.

We will securely delete data that is no longer needed.

We have rules that explain to us how to keep your personal data safe.

We make your personal data secret so only people with a special code can read it.

We use security measures to keep our computer databases safe from people who aren't supposed to access them.
