Keeping Children and Adults Safe statement

Living a life that is free from harm and abuse is a fundamental human right and an essential requirement for health and well-being. Safeguarding is at the heart of all that we do at First Community:

  • We are committed to protecting and promoting the rights and welfare of everyone who uses our services.
  • We have a key role in safeguarding adults and children in our care who may be experiencing abuse or neglect and we work closely with partner agencies to protect those at risk
  • Everyone working for First Community who comes into contact with an adult or child has a responsibility to keep them safe.
  • All who come into contact with children and adults have access to training and local safeguarding policies and procedures to ensure that every child and adult regardless of age, gender, religion or ethnicity can be protected from harm.
