First Community Musculoskeletal (MSK) service

MSK Service
Published on Wednesday 28 September 2022

First Community are no longer able to run their Musculoskeletal (MSK) service from East Surrey Hospital.  Clinics held at, Caterham Dene Hospital and Oxted Therapies Unit will continue.

Please note First Community will be accepting new referrals  at the present time. We will continue to assess the priority of the patient’s needs as normal and will assess those with a priority need.

Priority patients will include patients with a recent fracture or surgery and/or whose symptoms are moderate to severe, limiting their ability to work and/or undertake caring responsibilities.

Where appropriate, routine patients will be offered virtual or telephone appointments as an alternative, but please be aware that due to our reduced estate there may be increased delays for routine patients requiring face to face appointments.

First Community are working hard with our health system partners to find alternative premises.  We will share updates as we work through possible solutions.  The safety of our patients remains our priority.

All patients will continue to be communicated with as appropriate.
