Thanking local businesses and partners during COVID-19

We have received an overwhelming response from local businesses and partners with kind donations of gifts and personal protective equipment to help our frontline workers during the COVID-19 pandemic.  

Below are some of the shout outs we have made to recognise their kindness and generosity - Thank you for making such a difference!

Ellie and Anne Jones for making uniform bags for our staff.   This is part of the  For The Love Of Scrubs - Our NHS Need You bit.ly/2Km4AX1 initiative.

Having the bags means staff can put their uniforms into the bags, transport them home and into the washing machine which helps protect both staff and those they live with. 
Ellie and Anne Jones said: “Thank you for everything the NHS does for us and everyone else, now and always.”

Pete Sanders (father of Victoria Sanders one of our physiotherapists based at Caterham Dene Outpatients ) who has kindly donated reusable visors for our staff to wear when caring for our patients.  These visors have been described by our Infection Prevention and Control Team as  “an exceptional standard…… these are incredible and currently  the only visor that we have that are also reusable, so have an even greater value to our staff.”  Pete has been announced  ‘Hero of the Week’ here at First Community!  Thank you Pete, we are very grateful.
