First Community has published its Patient Safety Incident Response Plan (PSIRP) for 2026-2027, outlining how the organisation will respond to patient safety incidents in a way that supports learning and quality improvement.

First Community's Heart Failure and Frailty Virtual Ward services (part of the Surrey Heartlands and Doccla UK partnership) were shortlisted as a finalist for the Best Partnership Delivering Virtual Care category at the HSJ Partnership Awards on 19 March.

NHS Sussex, plans and buys health services on behalf of the local population.

Recently, they invited organisations which provide hearing aids to apply for a new contract to deliver hearing aid services for people experiencing non-complex and age-related hearing loss in Sussex.

First Community decided not to apply for this contract and are therefore no longer providing routine audiology care in West Sussex.
